Your heartbeat reveals morethan a pulse ever could.
Heart rate variability — an objective look at stress and recovery.
How well your body moves between tension and recovery can be measured. HRV diagnostics makes the regulation of your nervous system visible — at rest, in just a few minutes.
What is HRV
The language of your autonomic nervous system.
Heart rate variability (HRV) measures how much your heart rhythm varies between beats. It is one of the best objective markers of how your autonomic nervous system functions — and of your body's ability to recover from strain.
Sympathetic — the accelerator
Keeps you alert and able to perform. Active under tension, stress and strain.
Parasympathetic — the brake
Switches to recovery and regeneration. Active during rest, sleep and digestion.
A healthy HRV shows how flexibly your system shifts between the two — instead of being stuck on constant alert.
What the measurement shows
One value, many insights.
- Function of the autonomic nervous system
- Current stress load
- Capacity for regulation
- Recovery capacity
- Vagal axis — relevant for sleep, digestion and mood
The result is an objective picture of whether your system is regulating well right now — or whether recovery is falling behind the strain.

The measurement
Non-invasive. Painless. In just a few minutes.
The measurement takes place at the practice using a professional system in collaboration with biosign — non-invasive, painless, in a relaxed seated position. Afterwards, you receive a written analysis that we go through together.
More than measuring
The measurement becomes training.
HRV can not only be measured — it can be trained. With HRV biofeedback, you practise — under guidance — calmer, more flexible regulation. In our experience, this can support self-regulation and how you experience stress in everyday life.
After the measurement, we'll discuss whether biofeedback is right for you.
Who HRV diagnostics is intended for
For people who want to keep an eye on their regulation.
Suitable if
- You are under sustained strain and want to assess it objectively
- You train and want to manage load and recovery more precisely
- You want to track your results over time
Less suitable if
- You are looking for a quick one-off fix without interpretation
- You are facing an acute medical emergency
Not sure?
In an initial consultation, we clarify whether HRV diagnostics makes sense for you — with no obligation.
Book AppointmentA pulse tells you how fast. HRV tells you how well.
Diagnostics before therapy. Always.
In context
Meaningful on its own — even more so together.
HRV diagnostics is available on its own. It is also an integral part of our broader baseline assessments, where it is read alongside your lab values and other markers.

What you may still want to know.
A non-invasive measurement of heart rate variability — an objective marker of how well your nervous system regulates between tension and recovery.
No. It is non-invasive and painless, and takes place while you sit and relax.
The measurement takes only a few minutes.
No. Many use HRV purely preventively, to keep an eye on their regulation and recovery.
Sleep, exercise, stress regulation and targeted HRV biofeedback can, in our experience, support regulation. There are no guarantees — every person responds differently.
Yes. You receive a written analysis in plain, understandable language that we go through together.
The service is billed privately. We discuss the details by phone or in the initial consultation.
HRV is a marker, not a diagnosis in its own right. We always interpret it within your overall context.
